Today, I visited a 24-day-old baby boy at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Banjara Hills, who has been undergoing treatment since his extreme preterm birth.

Born at just 28 weeks with a birth weight of only 990 grams, the baby was treated for multiple serious health conditions including respiratory distress, sepsis, meningitis with ventriculitis and hydrocephaly, anemia and apnea of prematurity. The baby was placed on mechanical ventilator support during treatment.

This has been one of the most satisfying cases for ADF, considering the extremely critical condition and multiple life threatening complications the baby overcame. The little warrior is getting discharged in the next 2–3 days.
